2-4 When is enough, well, enough?

After Monday nights win against the Giants, the Cleveland Browns were flying high. Derek Anderson had his "swagger" (his words, not mine) back and all was right with the world. I knew when they came up against Washington it would return to Browns ball, as usual, and I wasn't disappointed.

This season has been painful. It's hard to watch and even more difficult to stomach. And I have to ask myself, when does the time come when Romeo Crennel, Phil Savage or someone pony up and say "it's time for a change, this isn't working"?

There are several issues with the team, including poor coaching, management, and most importantly the quarterback. I've posted before the season started, anxious about Derek Anderson and his inability to get the job done. His inconsistencies are horrendous (he was 17 of 37 for 136 yards against Washington, OUCH). I knew it would be an issue this year with the schedule. But I never dreamed the NFL came with so many "get out jail of free" cards.

The season is over for the Browns. They cannot get a wildcard, they will not make it to the superbowl. It is time to get what you can out of the season and at least make the fans happy. Bench Anderson, start Quinn and let him get wet behind the ears for next season and after this facade of a season is over, fire Romeo Crennel and look for coaches that play to win instead of making friends.

I said it once and I'll say it again, it's not easy being a Browns fan - not at all.
